This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from www.haliemasflowers.co.za (the “Site”).

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. This is handled by our secure payment gateway, PayFast.

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for delivery, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations).  Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

Communicate with you;

Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and

When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

ADVERTISING

We use Google AdWords Remarketing to trigger adverts across the internet. AdWords remarketing allows us to display ads that are deemed relevant to you based on the parts of the Haliema’s Flowers website you have viewed. This is done by placing a cookie on your machine. This cookie does not in any way identify you or grant access to your computer.

REMARKETING

Haliema’s Flowers also uses third party vendor re-marketing tracking cookies, including the Google Adwords tracking cookie. This allows us to continue to show ads to you across the internet, specifically on the Google Content Network (GCN). We respect your privacy and do not collect any identifiable information through the use of Google’s or any other third party remarketing system.

The third-party vendors, including Google, whose services we use, will place cookies on web browsers. This is done in order to serve ads, make special offers and continue to market our services to those who have shown interest, based on past visits to the Haliema’s Flowers website.

In addition, we also may allow certain third party companies to help us tailor advertising that we think may be of interest to users and to collect and use other data about user activities on our Site and/or services. These companies may deliver ads that might also place cookies and otherwise track user behaviour. For example, we use Google’s “remarketing” service to target our ads to you based on your prior use of the Site when you visit on other sites in Google’s content network.

GOOGLE ADWORDS

This website uses the Google AdWords remarketing service to advertise on third party websites (including Google) to previous visitors to our site. We may advertise to previous visitors who have not completed a task on our site, for example, adding an item to the shopping cart or using the contact form to make an inquiry. This could be in the form of an advertisement on the Google search results page or a site in the Google Display Network.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your past visits to this website. Any data collected will be used in accordance with our own privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy.

SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above.  For example, we use Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use the Site. Our privacy policy and terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa without giving effect to the principles of conflicts of laws. By using this website, you hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the High Court of the Republic of South Africa in respect of any disputes arising in connection with this web site.

DATA RETENTION

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records.

CHANGES

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
